Aims:

The main target of this course is to update participants on the current advances in knowledge regarding epidemiology and management of drug resistant- and MDR-TB cases. At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • understand the public health consequences of mismanagement of TB cases;
  • interpret the key role of clinicians in TB control;
  • apply international standards of diagnosis and care of TB;
  • and discuss the open questions for research in this field.
